Roofing warranty
A 15-year transferable workmanship warranty, and Owens Corning System Protection coverage is active (if purchased). If you buy the System Protection package we register the roof with Owens Corning for you; otherwise we hand you everything you need to register it yourself, and your shingle warranty is valid either way.

You get the paperwork, not just the roof
When the work is finished and the site is clean, you receive an email with photographs of your completed roof, your workmanship and shingle warranty information, and your receipt. If you purchased the System Protection package we register the roof with Owens Corning on your behalf; if not, we give you everything you need to register it yourself — and either way the shingle warranty is valid. The workmanship warranty transfers if you sell the house.

We work exclusively with Owens Corning products. We've chosen this brand for the SureNail® strip with its 1-inch nailing zone, wide adhesive bands engineered for 130 MPH winds, and the wide variety of colours available.
Is it okay to put new shingles over old ones?
No. After the old shingles are removed, the roofer should inspect your roof deck for rot. If rot is found, new plywood needs to be installed — it's unsafe to leave rot on a roof deck. Laying new shingles over old ones skips this critical step.
What's the best underlayment to put under new shingles?
We install a minimum of 6 ft of ice-and-water shield at the eaves, plus 3 ft in valleys where there are any, with synthetic underlayment over the remainder. The rare exception is a very low-slope roof, which should have 100% ice-and-water shield.
How do I tell when an asphalt shingle roof needs to be replaced?
If your shingles are starting to curl, crack, raise in the wind (this means your seals are broken) or lose granules, it's time to start thinking about replacing your roof. Some of these signs are hard to spot from the ground. If you're not sure of the condition, call Rob — a roof replacement estimate is always free.
